Coach Steele is entering his 3rd year as the Director of Track and Field for San Luis Obispo High School. He is a USATF Level 1 Certified Coach who is entering his 12th year coaching, the last Nine with SLOHS, and has specialized in the High, Triple, and Long Jumps. Since 2014, he has helped a total of 67 athletes qualify to the CIF section meet, with 7 athletes winning individual CIF section titles in their individual events, and helping qualify 4 athletes onto the CIF State Meet. Over his career he has been on the coaching staff of 11 league title and 4 section title winning teams. He is extremely grateful to be leading the largest Track and Field Program on the Central Coast and for all the amazing athletes he has been able to coach over the years.

Career Highlights:
Nathan Pearce recently moved to California with his family. He has coached sprints at the youth, middle school, high school, and private levels. In previous years, he coached the three fastest girls in Kansas history. He is USATF Level 1 certified, and he enjoys staying educated on all things related to sports performance. Nathan has also coached football, basketball, and flag football at various levels.

Dave Gomes is originally from Salinas, Ca. Coach Gomes is a USATF level 1 certified coach and has coached track & field for the past 20+ years. He was an assistant coach with Steve Boaz during the 2003 CIF State & CIF SS boys' XC championship team as well as being head coach of the 2009 CIF SS girls' track & field championship team.
